I tried downloading the AVG remover but it will not open and pops up with an error 0xc00000e5.
This is my office computer and and it's getting really frustrated now
Is there any way to resolve this problem?

Hello Tom,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. Please check whether you have installed any other conflicting applications like McAfee, Avast, Norton etc.. on your PC, If so please uninstall the conflicting applications.
If not, please  click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG 2016 Remover tool to remove all the traces of the AVG.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

Have the same problem as Tom Kim. AVG Remover doesn't start, so can't deactivate AVG.
Any other programs like skype don't work either. Either they don't start at all or they give me
the error 0xc00000e5.

Hello Tom,
Please follow the instructions on your article : http://avgclick.me/rebootintosafemode to reboot your PC in safe mode and use the AVG remover tool and check whether it resolves the issue.
Thank you.
