We regret for the inconvenience caused. Could you please let us know the exact AVG program installed on your PC and whether you have tried to disable the AVG program and check whether you could access the Internet?
If not please follow the instructions on the article http://avgclick.me/DisableComponents to disable the AVG program.

AVG_Internet_Security_695 is the program I was running - I just uninstalled it and now I can use the internet, emails everything so it is definitely AVG stuffing me up. Any suggestions? I am currently running with no protection.

below here was the question i meant to send initally but I was haivng trouble navigating your forum:

I cannot access the internet on my laptop, i can't send or receive emails, i had this same problem for a few days, i deleted avg and installed the new version of internet security, the problem fixed then windows did an update overnight and so did AVG. now my internet is screwed again. HELP this is driving me crazy! I am currently using my tablet device because i cant access internet on my laptop.  

You did send a response to this but I wanted it to be a part of the whole picture here :-)

Could you please confirm whether you are using the trial version of the AVG Internet security program?
We would request you to run AVG remover tool to completely remove AVG and then re install it.  
Please click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

4. Once uninstalled download the installation file using the link : http://www.avg.com/download to reinstall your AVG program.
5. Run the downloaded file to start the installation process.
6. Follow the instructions on your screen.  
7. Complete the installation and restart your computer.
