To download and install AVG TuneUp for iOS:

How can I subscribe to a paid version of AVG TuneUp for iOS?

Open AVG TuneUp for iOS and select Upgrade in the top-right corner. Select your preferred plan, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transaction.

Is AVG TuneUp for iOS included in the AVG TuneUp multi-device subscription?

No. Currently, AVG TuneUp for iOS is only available as a standalone application. It is not included in the AVG TuneUp multi-device subscription.

Features

What is Media Cleaner?

Media Cleaner helps you review and remove unwanted images, screenshots, and large videos from your device. In the paid version, Media Cleaner automatically identifies specific categories of images, such as duplicates or low‑quality images, and groups them together, so you can review and manage them without having to manually go through your entire photo library.

To start using Media Cleaner, tap Clean by month or Clean by type on the Home screen of AVG TuneUp, then choose the images or videos you want to send to Trash or to optimize.

What is Swipe Clean?

Swipe Clean is a feature that helps you review images one by one using a swipe‑based interface. It displays individual images in full view and lets you decide whether to keep or remove each item. To use Swipe Clean:

• Open AVG TuneUp and tap Swipe Clean at the bottom of the screen.
• Select the type of images you want to review.
• For each image, swipe right to keep it or swipe left to send it to Trash.

What is Optimizer?

Optimizer is a premium feature that helps you reduce image and video size and save storage. For more information about using Optimizer, refer to the following steps:

1. Open AVG TuneUp and tap More tools at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Optimize videos or Optimize photos.
3. Tap the photo(s) or video(s) you want to optimize, then tap Optimize.
4. Choose the photo(s) or video(s) output quality, then tap Optimize now.

Your media files are now optimized to occupy less space on your device. The original file is moved to Trash.

What is Clean Share?

Clean Share is a premium feature that lets you share images and videos without including hidden information, such as location, time, or other metadata. To use Clean Share:

1. Open AVG TuneUp and tap More tools at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Select from gallery.
3. Tap the files that you want to share, then tap Select.
4. Tap Remove hidden data.

The selected file can now be shared without hidden data.

You can also add Clean Share to the iOS Share menu for quicker access:

• In the iOS Share menu, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions.
• Under Other Actions, find Share safely with AVG and tap the + button to add it to Favorites.

The Share safely with AVG shortcut is now available in your Share menu, allowing you to easily use Clean Share when sharing images and videos.

What is Secret Files?

Secret Files is a feature which helps you keep your files hidden, by giving you a private media vault, separate from your main library. For more information about using Secret Files, refer to the following steps:

1. Open AVG TuneUp and tap More tools at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Access media vault.
3. Create your PIN code.
4. Tap Import files, select the files that you want to hide, and tap Add.
5. In the Import completed alert, tap Delete to delete the selected files from your phone’s library.

What is a Contact Cleaner?

Clean up and organize your contacts by removing incomplete records and duplicates. Every change is backed up so you can recover contacts if needed. For more information about using Contact Cleaner, refer to the following steps:

1. Open AVG TuneUp and tap More tools at the bottom of the screen.
2. Under the Contacts Cleaner section, the following options are available:
   • See all contacts: Lists all the contacts available on your device. Tap the contact you want to remove, then tap Remove contact.
   • Clear duplicates: Lists all the duplicate contacts available on your device. Select the contact that you want to clean up and tap Merge selected contacts to remove the duplicates.
   • Fix incomplete contacts: This list includes the contacts with incomplete records. Select a contact, enter the required contact information, and tap Save.
   • Backup & Restore: Create contacts backup or choose a backup to restore.

The selected contacts are organized and cleaned up.

Can I recover deleted files?

All removed images and videos are sent to Trash. To restore the files that are moved to the trash, tap Trash at the bottom of the main AVG TuneUp screen, select the files that you want to recover, and tap Recover selected / Recover all.

Settings

How do I change my Secret Files PIN code?

To change the PIN code for Secret Files:

1. Open AVG TuneUp for iOS and tap Settings (the gear icon) in the bottom-right corner.
2. Under Secret Files, tap Change PIN code.
3. Enter your current PIN code.
4. Enter your new PIN code twice to confirm it.

Troubleshooting

How can I uninstall AVG TuneUp?

To uninstall AVG TuneUp follow the steps below:

1. On the Home screen of your device, touch and hold the AVG TuneUp icon, then select Remove App from the menu that appears.
2. Select Delete App to remove AVG TuneUp and all of your app data.
3. Select Delete to confirm removal.

AVG TuneUp is now uninstalled from your device.
