AVG Secure Identity Financial Monitoring FAQs

What is Financial Monitoring?

Financial Monitoring is a feature in Avast Secure Identity that allows you to receive alerts notifying you of cash withdrawals, balance transfers, recurring transactions, BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later), and large purchases on financial institution accounts that you connect to your Avast account.

What financial institutions are compatible with Financial Monitoring?

Financial Monitoring supports most financial institutions, but our network does not have 100% coverage.

What type of financial accounts are compatible with Financial Monitoring?

The compatible financial accounts are:

  • Checking and Saving accounts
  • Mortgage
  • Credit cards
  • Investments
  • Loans

How do I dispute a transaction?

If you did not complete a transaction, contact your financial institution. We recommend that you do so immediately, as some institutions may limit the number of days you have to dispute transactions.

How often do I receive transaction alerts?

  • Frequently changing finance accounts (bank, card, investments) are refreshed daily.
  • Low-frequency finance accounts (loan, mortgage, insurance, bills) and non-finance accounts are refreshed weekly.

What kind of transaction alerts are there?

We alert you to various transactions, such as Recurring Debits, Withdrawals, BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later), and Fund Transfers.

You receive alerts only for debits from your bank accounts. Credits received or payments made to your credit cards do not trigger any alerts.
