What is AVG Expert Care?

AVG Expert Care is a paid subscription service that provides live support by phone, chat, or email for all free AVG products on all supported platforms (Windows PC, Mac, Android, and iOS). Our agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help you solve technical issues that you may experience while downloading, installing, and using your free AVG products.

Without AVG Expert Care, free AVG product users have access to our free channels, such as AVG Support articles and AVG Community, but do not receive help from live support agents.

What is the difference between AVG Expert Care and AVG Support?

AVG Expert Care is a paid subscription service that gives you access to live help and advice by phone, chat, or email, for issues only related to free AVG products on all supported platforms.

The standard AVG Support service is available only for premium customers as part of their paid subscription and covers all paid products or services on all supported platforms.

What is the difference between AVG Expert Care and AVG Premium Tech Support?

AVG Expert Care is a paid subscription service that gives you access to live help and advice by phone, chat, or email, for issues only related to free AVG products on all supported platforms.

AVG Premium Tech Support is a paid service that provides 24/7 premium support by phone for all AVG products or services on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. AVG Premium Tech experts are available not only to help get your AVG products and services set up, show you how to use them and customize them for your needs, but also to help solve technical issues. With AVG Premium Tech Support, our experts are able to help solve issues by remotely connecting to your PC, while AVG Expert Care does not include remote access or technical issue troubleshooting.

Is AVG Expert Care available in languages other than English?

AVG Expert Care is only available in English.

How do I subscribe to AVG Expert Care?

How long is the subscription valid for?

The initial term of the subscription is valid for one year from the date of purchase, and automatically renews annually at the applicable renewal price, unless the renewal is canceled.

How much does AVG Expert Care cost?

For your first year, AVG Expert Care costs 1$ USD for customers in the USA, $1 CAD for customers in Canada, £1 for customers in the UK, and $1 AUD for customers in Australia. After your first year, AVG Expert Care renews at $19.99 USD for customers in the USA, $24.99 CAD for customers in Canada, £19.99 for customers in the UK, and $29.99 AUD for customers in Australia, per year.

Where can I find a confirmation of my subscription?

After subscribing to AVG Expert Care, you will receive an order confirmation email. Your subscription will also be visible under the My Subscriptions tab in your AVG Account.

Make a note of the details provided in your order confirmation email, including the order number and the email address you used to sign-up for the subscription. You will need this information when contacting live support agents through AVG Expert Care.

Do I need to activate my AVG Expert Care subscription?

You do not need to install or activate additional software to use AVG Expert Care. Just contact our agents when you want help with your free AVG products. We verify your subscription by asking you to provide details from your order confirmation email, such as your email address, name, and order ID.

How do I cancel my AVG Expert Care subscription?

  1. Sign in to your AVG Account. If you do not have an account, select Create an account.
  2. Select My subscriptions.
  3. Find the AVG subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Click Unsubscribe under the subscription that you want to cancel.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Optionally, please let us know why you are unsubscribing, then click Continue.
  7. Review the details about your canceled subscription, then click Close.

You can reach our agents toll-free by phone, chat, or email. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Click the Contact Options button on the AVG Support website and follow the on-screen instructions. Contact instructions are also provided in the order confirmation email you receive after purchasing the subscription.

What happens when I contact the AVG Expert Care agents?

First, our agents will verify your subscription by asking for details from your order confirmation email, such as your email address, name, and order ID. Then, they will assist you with the technical issues you may be experiencing with free AVG products.
