Managing pop-up notifications in AVG products

Most AVG applications display notifications about application activity, product updates, warnings, and alerts. To disable pop-up notifications or stop offers for other products, follow the instructions in this article according to your app.

AVG AntiVirus Free / AVG Internet Security

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open AVG AntiVirus and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
  3. Under Pop-up notifications treatment, select Silent mode to not see any pop-ups, alerts, or messages.

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open AVG AntiVirus and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
  3. Under Offers, untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you 3rd party products.
      • For information about data collection, refer to the AVG Privacy Policy.

AVG AntiTrack

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG AntiTrack and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Untick the box next to Show notifications for fingerprint changes, then select your preferred option for Notify me of blocked tracking attempts.

AVG Battery Saver

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open AVG Battery Saver and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Show me when Battery Saver is automatically turned ON
    • Remind me to Turn on Battery Saver when on battery

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open AVG Battery Saver and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Personal privacy.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you 3rd party products.
      • For information about data collection, refer to the AVG Privacy Policy.

AVG Driver Updater

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. AVG Driver Updater and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
  3. Untick the box next to Notify me when my drivers are outdated.

Stop offers for other products

  1. AVG Driver Updater and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Personal privacy.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you 3rd party products.

AVG Secure Browser

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG Secure Browser and go to ⋮ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. In the left menu, select Privacy and security, then click Site settings.
  3. Select the following options:
    • Click Notifications, then select Don't allow sites to send notifications.
    • Click Pop-ups and redirects, then select Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or redirects.

AVG Secure VPN

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

To disable notifications:

  1. AVG Secure VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Untick the box next to Show Secure VPN notifications.

Stop offers for other products:

  1. AVG Secure VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Under Personal Privacy, untick the box next to Show offers for our other products.
    3. For information about data collection, refer to the AVG Privacy Policy.

AVG TuneUp

To stop offers for other products:

  1. Open AVG TuneUp and hover your mouse over the side menu, then select Settings.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Share app-usage data with AVG TuneUp so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.
    • Share app-usage data with AVG TuneUp so we may offer you 3rd party products.
    4. For information about data collection, refer to the AVG Privacy Policy.

AVG AntiVirus Free / AVG Internet Security

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG AntiVirus and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences.
  2. Select the Notifications tab.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Disable notifications when in Focus mode
    • Disable notifications when in full screen mode

AVG AntiTrack

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open AVG AntiTrack and go to Settings.
  2. Untick the box next to Show notifications for fingerprint changes, then select your preferred option for Notify me of blocked tracking attempts.

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open AVG AntiTrack and go to Settings.
  2. Untick the box next to Enable third party products offerings.

AVG Secure Browser

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG Secure Browser and go to ⋮ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. In the left menu, select Privacy and security, then click Site settings.
  3. Select the following options:
    • Click Notifications, then select Don't allow sites to send notifications.
    • Click Pop-ups and redirects, then select Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or redirects.

Disable notifications

  1. Open AVG Secure VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences.
  2. Under Notifications, untick the box next to Show Secure VPN notifications.

  1. Open AVG Secure VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences.
  2. Under Personal Privacy, untick the box next to Show offers for our other products.

AVG TuneUp

To stop offers for other products:

  1. Open AVG TuneUp and go to Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Untick the box next to See possible upgrades and offers for our other products by sharing app-usage data with us.
    For information about data collection, refer to the AVG Privacy Policy.

AVG Alarm Clock Xtreme

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG Alarm Clock Xtreme and go to ☰ More (three lines).
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Notifications.
  3. Tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) for notifications that you do not want to receive.

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open AVG Alarm Clock Xtreme and go to ☰ More (three lines).
  2. Tap Settings ▸ General.
  3. Tap Personal Privacy.
  4. Tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) for Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you upgrades or other products.

AVG AntiVirus

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG AntiVirus and tap Account.
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Notifications.
  3. Tap the green (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) for notifications that you do not want to receive.

AVG Cleaner

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG Cleaner and tap ☰ Menu (the three lines).
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Notifications.
  3. Select the following options:
    • To disable Notifications and Reports, tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF).
    • Select the items categories, then tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) next to notifications that you do not want to receive.

AVG Secure VPN

To disable notifications:

  1. Open AVG Secure VPN and go to Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Scroll down and select Notifications ▸ Statistics notification.
  3. In your device settings, select your preferred notification options.
  • All AVG consumer software applications
  • All supported platforms
