AVG downgrade from Internet Security to Free version not working

Hello,
I was using a trial version of AVG Internet Security which expired so I wanted to downgrade to the AVG FREE edition. Everytime I uninstall AVG Internet Security, restart, install the FREE version, this looks fine. However, after the required restart when the FREE version is installed, the FREE version is gone again and only the expired Internet Security version keeps on appearing (which I actually uninstalled...).
I also tried to remove all AVG software with AVG Clear tool and the Removal tool as described in https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000DiatAAC, but still I keep having the same problems, AVG FREE is not available anymore after the required restart. Is there a way to solve this?

We appreciate your efforts, we will certainly have a look at it. Please reinstall it again from our official website: https://www.avg.com/en-us/download and make sure that you have latest version of 18.6. Share the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Create-screenshot of AVG interface if the issue persists. We will escalate it to determine the exact cause.

I tried it again and this is what happens:

So I uninstalled Internet Security, restarted and installed AVG FREE from the link you provided:
AVG FREE installed

Then after a few seconds, this screen appears:

So AVG FREE is still installed, but now AVG Internet Security (which I uninstalled before) asks to restart my computer.

If I do this, then I only have AVG Internet Security installed on my computer and AVG FREE is completely gone:

I hope this makes things clear. Really appreciate a solution for this issue. Thanks.
