Troubleshooting the Something went wrong error on AVG Secure VPN extension

This error may happen when the AVG Secure browser extension fails to communicate with the AVG Secure VPN app.

To resolve this error, uninstall and reinstall the AVG Secure VPN browser extension. Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the browser extension:

Uninstall AVG Secure VPN browser extension

To uninstall the AVG Secure VPN browser extension, depending on your browser, choose one of the following:

Microsoft Edge

1. Launch Microsoft Edge.
2. Click the Extensions icon on the top-right corner of the browser and click Manage extensions.
3. On the Extensions page, under Secure VPN, click Remove.
4. In the pop-up that appears, click Remove.

Google Chrome

1. Launch Google Chrome.
2. Click the Extensions icon on the top-right corner of the browser and click Manage extensions.
3. On the Extensions page, under Secure VPN, click Remove.
4. In the pop-up that appears, click Remove.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Launch Mozilla Firefox.
2. Click the Extensions icon on the top-right corner of the browser and click Manage extensions.
3. In the Manage Your Extensions page, next to AVG Secure VPN, click the three-dots icon and click Remove.
4. In the pop-up that appears, click Remove.
