Preventing your Android device from stopping AVG apps

This article applies to the following AVG apps for Android:
  • AVG AntiVirus
  • AVG Cleaner
  • AVG Alarm Clock Xtreme

To improve performance, some Android devices force apps to stop when your device screen turns off. This often causes apps to lose the Accessibility permission.

In this case, you need to manually re-enable the permission to maintain full app functionality. To re-enable the Accessibility permission, open your device settings, search for Accessibility, then grant this permission to your AVG Android app.

We recommend changing your device settings to prevent the app from losing the permission. Follow the relevant steps below according to your device:

  1. Open your device Settings.
