Managing pop-up notifications in AVG AntiVirus

AVG AntiVirus displays notifications about application activity, product updates, warnings, and alerts. To disable these pop-up notifications, follow the instructions in this article.

Disable pop-up notifications

1. Open AVG AntiVirus and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
3. Tick the box next to Use silent mode and turn off all pop-ups, alerts and messages.
   We recommend ticking the box next to Show detection dialogs while the silent mode is on to get notified when a malicious attack is detected.
   

Notifications are now silenced.

Stop offers for other products

If you use AVG Internet Security you can additionally stop seeing offers for other AVG products.

1. Open AVG Internet Security and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
2. Select General ▸ Personal Privacy.
3. Untick the box next to Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.

Offers for other AVG products are now silenced.
