Uninstalling AVG Secure VPN

 
Removing AVG Secure VPN from your PC does not automatically cancel your subscription. For information about canceling an AVG subscription, refer to the following article: Canceling an AVG subscription - Frequently Asked Questions.

Uninstall AVG Secure VPN

To uninstall AVG Secure VPN from a Windows device, select the relevant tab below according to your Windows version.

Uninstall via Start menu

  1. Right-click the Windows Start icon, then select Apps and Features from the menu that appears.
  2. Ensure that Apps is selected in the left panel, then click ⋮ Options (three dots) next to AVG Secure VPN and select Uninstall.
  3. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
  4. When the AVG Secure VPN uninstaller appears, click Uninstall.
  5. Click Uninstall to confirm that you want to uninstall AVG Secure VPN.
  6. Wait while the uninstaller removes AVG Secure VPN from your PC.
  7. When the confirmation message appears, click Done, or if prompted, click Restart computer to immediately reboot your PC and complete uninstallation.
  1. Right-click the Windows Start icon, then select Apps and Features from the menu that appears.
  2. Ensure that Apps & features is selected in the left panel, then click AVG Secure VPN, and select Uninstall.
  3. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
  4. When the AVG Secure VPN uninstaller appears, click Uninstall.
  5. Click Uninstall to confirm that you want to uninstall AVG Secure VPN.
  6. Wait while the uninstaller removes AVG Secure VPN from your PC.
  7. When the confirmation message appears, click Done, or if prompted, click Restart computer to immediately reboot your PC and complete uninstallation.
  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and X key simultaneously.
  2. Select Programs and Features from the menu that appears.
  3. Right-click AVG Secure VPN, then select Uninstall from the drop-down menu.
  4. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
  5. When the AVG Secure VPN uninstaller appears, click Uninstall.
  6. Click Uninstall again to confirm uninstallation.
  7. Wait while the uninstaller removes AVG Secure VPN from your PC.
  8. When the confirmation message appears, click Done, or if prompted, click Restart computer to immediately reboot your PC and complete uninstallation.
  1. Click the Windows Start icon and select Control Panel.
  2. Follow option A or option B below according to your view:
    • Option A (Default category view): Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
    • Option B (Large/small icons view): Click Programs and Features.
  3. Right-click AVG Secure VPN, then select Uninstall from the drop-down menu.
  4. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
  5. When the AVG Secure VPN uninstaller appears, click Uninstall.
  6. Click Uninstall to confirm that you want to uninstall AVG Secure VPN.
  7. Wait while the uninstaller removes AVG Secure VPN from your PC.
  8. When the confirmation message appears, click Done, or if prompted, click Restart computer to immediately reboot your PC and complete uninstallation.
Moving AVG Secure VPN to the Trash does not uninstall the application.

You can uninstall AVG Secure VPN from Mac via the Apple menu bar. Follow the steps below:

Uninstall via Apple menu bar

  1. Open AVG Secure VPN, then click AVG Secure VPN in the Apple menu bar and select Uninstall AVG Secure VPN.
  2. Click Uninstall.
  3. Enter the password that you use when you start your Mac, then click OK.
  4. Click Quit.

To uninstall AVG Secure VPN from Android, follow the steps below according to your preferred method:

Uninstall via Google Play Store

  1. On the Home screen of your device, tap the Google Play Store icon to open the store.
  2. In the search bar, type AVG Secure VPN, then select the relevant option from the search results.
  3. Tap Uninstall, then tap Uninstall again to confirm uninstallation.

Uninstall via device settings

These steps may differ slightly depending on your device model, Android version, and vendor customizations.
  1. Open your device Settings and go to Apps.
  2. Select AVG Secure VPN.
  3. Tap Uninstall, then tap OK to confirm uninstallation.

Uninstall via Home screen

To uninstall AVG Secure VPN from iOS, follow the steps below:

  1. On the Home screen of your device, touch and hold the AVG VPN icon, then select Remove App from the menu that appears.
  2. Select Delete App to remove AVG Secure VPN and all of your app data.
  3. Select Delete to confirm uninstallation.

AVG Secure VPN is now uninstalled from your device.
