Activate AVG Password Protection

If you purchase AVG Password Protection at the same time as you purchase AVG Internet Security, AVG Password Protection installs and activates automatically when you activate AVG Internet Security.

If you need to activate AVG Password Protection separately, refer to the steps in this article to activate AVG Password Protection using either your AVG Account credentials or a valid activation code:

1. Open the AVG user interface and click ☰ Menu ▸ Sign In.
2. Enter credentials for the AVG Account that is linked to the email address you used to purchase AVG Password Protection, and click Sign In.
3. Click Continue to confirm that your subscription is now active.

Your AVG Password Protection subscription is now active. Your subscription details are visible under Subscriptions on this PC.

1. Open the AVG user interface and click ☰ Menu ▸ Enter activation code.
2. Type or paste your activation code into the text box (including hyphens), and click Enter.
3. Click Continue to confirm that your subscription is now active.

Your AVG Password Protection subscription is now active. Your subscription details are visible under Subscriptions on this PC.

Open AVG Password Protection

Open AVG Password Protection using one of the following methods:

1. Double-click the AVG Password Protection icon on your Windows desktop.
2. Open the AVG user interface and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Password Protection.
