Resetting the App Lock PIN in AVG AntiVirus

App Lock is a feature in AVG AntiVirus for Android that protects your sensitive apps with a PIN or pattern. This article assumes your App Lock has already been set up, and explains how to reset your App Lock PIN in case you forget it.

Change your App Lock PIN

To change your App Lock PIN from the AVG AntiVirus app via Google Account:

1. Open AVG AntiVirus and go to Explore ▸ App Lock.
   Alternatively, open the app which is locked by App Lock and proceed to step 2.
2. When you are prompted to type your current PIN, tap ⋮ (the three dots) ▸ Reset PIN.
3. You are redirected to the Google Account login page. Ensure the Google Account that appears is the one that you selected for AVG PIN reset, then tap Next.
4. Type the Google Account password, and tap Next again.
5. Type your new PIN twice to confirm the change.

Your new AVG PIN is configured.
