VPN Connection

Hello,
when trying to switch the AVG secure VPN on, the current pop-up message appears "

"Could not validate the server certificate. Verify your settings and try reconnecting."

What does it mean and what should I do please ? 

Note (Mac Book Pro 10.10.5)
