virus scan

Scanning my pc gives a bsod with the following messages

Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

ataport.sys

So I can`t scan not any more.

What to do?

Let's work together to fix it.
Have you initiated scan using AVG Internet Security? Could you share the screenshot https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot of that error message to check and assist you further.
Let us know the version of AVG you have installed.
Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> About -> check its version.

Did you boot the PC in Safe mode with networking?
Will you be able to use your mobile phone and take a picture of blue screen error and attach it here?
You can post the image by clicking on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Are you able to restart your PC in normal mode?

Please log into your PC in normal/safe mode with networking, uninstall and reinstall AVG Internet Security to verify the status.

Problem stil not solved. As soon I try a scan or visit avg website the bsod pops up with the same message. I think i have to try an other internet security.
