Scheduled Scan

I scheduled "Schedule Scan" with setting all files, using AVG AntiVirus FREE
It started at the scheduled time, but I have the following questions
(1) What kind protection scans does it performed?
(2) Do I have to schedule "Deep Scan"?
(3) I set to report the test result configuring "report file". Where can I find the result?
(4) "Last SCAN Date" in the first page is not updated after this scan?

The reports file should be available under the path C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports and it is the same for any windows operating system that you use.
To be sure, have you clicked on "Schedule Scan" and selected "Report File" option from it?

Hello Shoji,

You can find the report file under this path: C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports.
The schedule scan depends on the type of scan that you have setup.
If it is for deep scan, the scanning will be done thoroughly.
Also, the "last computer scan" message will update only for the scan performed from "scan computer" option available on the program interface.
Feel free to contact us if you need further help.

You say C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports., but my Windows 7 is:
C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\x64\DATA\report
The report folder is empty.

You say "The schedule scan depends on the type of scan that you have setup." , but how can I set up?
I set ALL HARDDISKS and ALL FILES. Is there any other setting. What does the schedule scan?

What does the  "scan computer?

Shoji, if you have customized the schedule scan to 'All hard disks' and 'All files', it will be a thorough scan like deep virus scan. When you click on "Scan computer" on main interface, it will be a quick scan. Irrespective of Windows OS version, the report file is saved at  C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports only.

You say "Irrespective of Windows OS version, the report file is saved at  C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports only"
What does this mean?
I don't have the pass in my win 7. So Icreated  C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports But I don't get any reprt.

AVG created "C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\x64\DATA\reports", not "C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports"
I configured "Report File" but did not get any report in both "C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\x64\DATA\reports" and  "C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports"
Does it mean there is no error?
Does it perform the computer scan?

Shoji,

Have you checked the "Generated report file" option in the scan settings showed in the below image?
User-added imageIf the option is not checked, then you cannot see the report file folder in the C drive- AVG.

Shoji,

Thank you for the screenshot. You have selected the File name as Schedule scan. So the report file will get generated only when you run the Scheduled scan. For Computer scan , the report will not generated.

See the below screenshots, report file will get generated for the scans which has setting (gear symbol) icons. For each scan you have to mention the file name in the settings.

I am more confused.
Before explaining my problem I reexplain you the report file problems.
AVG created "C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\x64\DATA\reports"
I created "C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports"
So, my Win 7 has 2 report files
I

I can't find a report file in both of the URLs.
Am I doing wrong?

Shoji, please do not get confused with "reports" on program files and program data.
The scan reports are located under the path "C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports" as we mentioned earlier.
Hence, it looks like, you are setting up "report file" for "Schedule Scan" but performing the scan by clicking on "Scan Computer" option from the interface?
If you setup the report file for schedule scan, then it is necessary to check the logs in reports folder after "schedule scan" is completed.
We can check this by setting up reports for other scan. Click on "settings" of "File & Folder scan" and generate the "report file. Name the file as "Folder scan".

Perform the scan of "file & folder" and check on "reports" folder, whether any file created showing the logs.
Keep us informed about the status.

I performed  the scan of "file & folder" as you said. But both of the Report Folder were empty, nothing in there.
The report contains always the date and time of the test , is it?
