Switch off renewal reminder pop-up

Aggh, this is annoying. Anybody know how to stop the "Renewal Reminder" constantly popping up several times in a day?

AVG Internet Security, paid version.

- I've unchecked everything in Settings > Personal Privacy
- I've checked "Use silent mode and turn off all pop-ups, alerts and messages" in
  Settings >Notifications

Many Thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean,

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG notifications.
From your description, we see that you've already tried the correct steps to disable notifications.
However, as we're uncertain about the exact pop up that you receive, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it for better clarity?

Hi Dinesh,

Thanks for your reply.

I ended up "chatting" with support who seemed to think that this behaviour could not be switched off - Unless I renew of course.

Attached are screen shots, renewal reminder pops-up several times a day and highjacks desktop.

Best Regards,

Sean

Thank you for sharing the screenshots.
We'd like to confirm that disabling the options under settings will stop ads for other AVG products from appearing on your PC. But the renewal reminder on the AVG Internet Security user interface can not be removed. You have another 10 days left in your current subscription. If you do not want to renew, please ignore the reminder until the product expire. You can then decide to renew manually or uninstall the product to stop seeing the notifications.

If you are receiving the renewal reminders in a separate pop up window, please share a screenshot of it.

I keep seeing this Renewal Options pop-up almost everyday even after my subscription ends. I have disabled the notification options as mentioned above. But still it keeps appearing.

Hello Shiwei,

We regret the inconvenience caused.
As mentioned in the previous posts of this thread, the renewal reminder on the AVG Internet Security user interface can not be removed.
If you don't intend to renew your AVG Internet Security subscritpion, we recommend that you uninstall your AVG Internet Security program & install the AVG Antivirus Free. By doing this, you can avoid the persistent renewal reminder notifications.

This pop-up is really annoying and makes we consider to go for another product. On each computer, each day this same message. That is spam. I paid, I know I need to renew, but stop reminding me on every machine, every day.

I'm going to bump this thread and ask how to get rid of this thing popping up on every computer with AVG on it every blasted day. Where is the "don't ask me again" option? I'll renew when I'm ready, but harassing me about it will push me to another product. Fix it!

Hello Dot,
We understand your frustration. Please accept our apologies. This is not the way we wanted you to feel with us.
Please note that the renewal reminder on the AVG user interface notifies the customers about the expiry of the subscription, so that they can renew it.
If you do not want to renew, you can ignore the reminder until the product expire. You can then decide to renew manually or uninstall the product to stop seeing the notifications.
Thank you.

OK, I've done everything suggested and the blasted thing still shows up. Every single computer. Every day. This has moved beyond annoying. I was actually planning on renewing it, but now I'm considering not renewing because it acts like nagware.
