AVG Scans

When I do a scan it stops at about 88% in sensitive documents.  It shows scanning payroll documents (I have None) and will not go any further.  I have not been able to complete a full scan in 2 months.  What can I do about this.  I run windows 10.

As repair didn't help us to fix the issue, let us perform a clean installation. 
To do so, follow the steps in below articles : 
Uninstall AVG using AVG Clear
Install/Activate AVG Internet Security.
Note : Please skip running AVG Remover while uninstallation process.

Hello Mike,
Let's have a look at it together. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to fix this issue?
If not, try with repair https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Repair-AVG-Antivirus installation and check the status.
Let us know the version of AVG you have installed. Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> About -> check its version.

I tried the repair.  There seems to be no difference- stops at 88%.  I did get this in windows. 
I did not notice it before.

assets-client.avgbrowser.com redirected you too many times.

Could you confirm that you've clicked 'Scan Computer' on the user interface of AVG Internet Security?
Does the scan keep on loading or it get struck at a point? Will you be able to provide a screenshot (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Create-screenshot&supportType=home) of the same to assist further?
Please elaborate on the term 'assets-client.avgbrowser.com' to get a better clarity and we will assist you further.

Yes  I click on Scan it goes through Browser Add ons and Virus's and other Malware.  When it gets to
senstitive documents it just keeps churning and stopss at 88%.

The last time I did it the windows notification 'assets-client.avgbrowser.com' did not come up.

I cannot figure out how to attach the screenshot to this.....

Where do I find AVG Clear?  I tried clicking on you email and my browser says site not found......

I ran clear and reinstalled AVG.  It never asked for the numbers you sent me.  It appears to have solved the problem.  Thank you.  Mike

Glad to hear that the issue has been resolved in a precise way. 

Please do check whether you could see the correct expiry date as December 19, 2020 (Open AVG Internet Security > My AVG > My Subscription) and the message 'You are fully protected' on the user interface. If this is correct, it indicates your program is activated on your PC.
