AVG free not recognising exception

I have got AVG antivirus Free. This morning it has started flagging AutoIt3Wrapper.exe as a problem and quarantining it. It alleges infection with AutoIt:BehavHeur-A. but I am confident this is a false positive and restored it with an exception. However, AVG does not seem to be recognising this exception and quarantines it again when I next run it.

Can anyone assist with getting this exception to function?

Hi Duncan,

I'll be glad to help with your concern.

Please click on the link below to submit your request to whitelist the file.

You can refer the article to add a file to exceptions in AVG: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Antivirus-scan-exclusions

You're missing the point. I have submitted for euphemistic, and I have also set an exception in AVG locally, which appears on my exceptions screen. But the program goes on detecting regardless!

Can you explain that?

sorry. for "euphemistic" read "whitelisting"

BTW AVG Clear has also failed to remove AVG Update Helper so I'm not able to install an alternative at present.
