I was playing a game on Steam. AVG abruptly closed the game I was playing to tell me that it had been added to my Do Not Disturb list. I never enabled nor placed that game on the Do Not Disturb list, didn't even know there was one. And now, all the progress that I had made in the last hour has been lost thanks to AVG.
I won't lie guys, this isn't the best first impression, having just installed your product. This is pathetic stuff. I want to know how I can stop this from happening again in the future (If I act on any advice given here and it happens again, I'll be switching to another anti-virus).
We're sorry for the inconvenience caused. Do Not Disturb Mode is a new feature in the latest version of AVG Internet Security and AVG AntiVirus Free, and is an upgrade to the previous Game Mode feature. Do Not Disturb Mode works to silence unnecessary notifications while you run almost any application in fullscreen.
Each time you open an application in fullscreen, Do Not Disturb Mode automatically detects it and adds it to a list of applications.
Do Not Disturb Mode is enabled by default in AVG Antivirus. You can disable the automatic launch of Do Not Disturb Mode for specific applications:
Open the AVG user interface.
Click Menu ▸ Do Not Disturb Mode.
Click the green (ON) slider next to an application so that it changes to red (OFF).
Appreciate your understanding.
