AVG Firewall is blocking Remote Desktop Connection

When I switch off AVG Firewall I can connect remotely to my desktop. When AVG Firewall is on I can't. AVG says I should change the network to Private/Public and add a rule allowing RDC to pass through. I've tried all this but to no avail. I've repaired the AVG Internet security. Still no change. Any advice on how to fix this? Otherwise the solution is to uninstall AVG Firewall.

Hello T zarou,
Let us check if you configured the Firewall settings as recommended.
Open AVG - Menu - Settings - Full protection - Enhanced Firewall - Enable Internet connection sharing.
Additionally, click on System rules that is available in the same page & enable the 1st two options : Windows file & printer sharing, remote desktop connections. Do check if the network profile is set to private.
Please try the above steps & let us know the outcome.

Thanks for the reply but I've checked all of those and they are as what you suggest them to be. I've tried to change the network profile to both private and public and tried it under both scenarios but still no luck.

Appreciate your efforts in sharing us the screenshot & working towards fixing the issue. Would you be so kind to ensure us that you've enabled 'Internet connection sharing mode' as suggested by our colleague?

Not sure why Internet Sharing Mode should be enabled but I've gone ahead and enabled it and it hasn't resolved the issue. Are we clutching at straws here or is this an issue that cannot be resolved short of uninstalling the AVG Firewall. If so, can I get a refund back if I go to the basic version?
