What is "AVG Update Helper" and how do I remove it?

I'm trying to uninstall AVG Free and install a different AV software but not matter what I do (uninstall in settings, use both tools in both Safe Mode and regular mode, go to hidden folders to delete other files, et al) I still get a "AVG Update Helper is present" error. For the life of me I cannot locate anything related to whatever that is at this point. What should I do?

We will help you to resolve this issue.
AVG Update Helper is connected to AVG Secure Browser. It seems that the AVG Secure Browser has been uninstalled incorrectly.
Please try reinstalling AVG Secure Browser and then uninstall it again to check with the issue.

That answer does NOT work, Bharath. I followed your instructions and installed and uninstalled the AVG Security Browser and it does NOT remove the AVG Update Helper from my system. You people are a bunch of cons.

You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

To the INEPT customer service from Avast: stop wasting people's time with your inane "solutions" that don't work! 
It doesn't even make sense to re-install the Avast Browser that was incorrectly uninstalled to remove the Avast Update Helper, and trying to uninstall again does not work.
1. We uninstalled the crxppy Avast Browser the CORRECT way. The fact that Avast leaves behind hidden crxp is not the users' fault!
2. Reinstalling doesn't remove the Avast Update Helper, which is the MAIN ISSUE we are all having.
So Avast support nincompoops, STOP putting the onus on the users, when you clearly have no clue!
