AVG Subscription expiration pop-ups

Hey guys,
Straight to the question - is there any way how to turn off these subscription expiration pop-ups? I'm using monthly subscription as I'm getting new license code every month from the company I work for. And each month, when there are 11 days left on my subscriptions I'm getting these pop-ups that I should consider re-subing. I wouldn't mind if these pop-ups appear once a day or on every computer start, but.. these happen to appear every 1-2 hours. What is more, the pop-up is set to be "always on top" so it changes focus to its window and basically stops you from every work you doing. If I do the math for you, its approximately 6-8 pop-ups each day (considering the PC runs 6-12 hrs a day). It truly is bothering me.
Note, that I have the "Silent mode" turn on, which literally says "Use silent mode and turn off all pop-ups, alerts and messages". Doesnt work in this case though.

PS. Forgot to state, that Im talking about AVG Internet Security app - the antivirus.

Looking forward to your answer.

Hi Von,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Usually, AVG program would notify you about the license expiry within the program (in homepage).
If so, then it is the usual behavior, as the program notifies you about the available subscription period.
As we're uncertain about the exact pop up to which you refer, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it for better clarity?

Hi,
Yeah, I meant notification in homepage. My problem with that is, that whole program window pops-up from system tray and is set to be "Always on top" so it minimalize my running apps and I need to close it.

If it's usual behaviour to notify user 10 times per day, then I would recommend you to at least change the frequency of the app poping up. Like it's more than enough to notify me once per day.. considering the fact, that 11 days left to end of subscription is a bunch of time to purchase a new one..

So yeah, just for clarification - main app window popping up every 1-2 hrs:

Thank you for the screenshot.

We understand your concern.

Unfortunately, we cannot turn of the expiry notification in the AVG program.

As mentioned earlier, it is the usual behavior, as the program notifies you about the available subscription period.

We will certainly consider this as a feedback and try to reduce the popup regarding the expiry date.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Thank you for understanding.

This is getting really fucking annoying. They've been getting more frequent and I'm getting multiple of these a day at this point, plus after every startup. Wathching a movie? "BUY OUR SHIT". Writing a paper? "BUY OUR SHIT". Not only are they visually distracting, they completely cover whatever I was doing and interfere with my typing as they're a foregorund window. Not only am I NOT buying your shit, but at this rate, I never ever will.

I have personally designed my PC's interface to be distraction-free.

I eliminate all ads from my life, so my mind may be my own.

When I'm watching a movie, pausing it ruins the scene and I wish not to be bothered.

When I'm writing a paper or reading an article, a popup ruins my concentration that costs time to regain.

This is spam.

Hi Kazimierz,

This isn't the experience we want you to have.
From your message, it seems that you're receiving pop up offers for other AVG programs. To ensure this, write back to us in your own post sharing the screenshot of the pop up for better clarity. Also, this will reveal the email address affiliated with AVG.
Note : It isn't recommended to share the account info over this public post.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

I'm getting the same annoying pop up in the above post, I'll be looking elsewhere to renew with a different company that doesn't spam it's PAID users.  The pop ups that a new version or update has completed are annoying too, I have it set to silent because I don't want ANY interruption in my work I don't need to know it updated.  This is crapware at it's worst.  I left Kaspersky for a similar reason.
