Anti-Spam blocked senders list in AVG Internet Security for 2019

Three quick questions I can't seem to find the answer to elsewhere, including AVG support search.

1. How many entries can you make into the blocked senders list?
2. Is there a way to import a list of blocked senders? I'd like to import my MS Outlook list into it.
3. Does AVG totally block these entries (meaning you never see them) or just mark them as spam in outlook?

Hi Patricia,

We will help you with the necessary information regarding the AVG AntiSpam component.

1. You can make infinite entries in the blocked list.

2. Yes, you can import the blocked senders list from the MS Outlook. This option is available under the AntiSpam component.

3. AVG will mark the blocked entries as Spam in outlook.

Let us know, if you need further help.

I added 2 responses but they  aren't showing, so hope I'm not duplicating here.

Comment 1: If it only marks the email as spam, then it's not actually blocking them and I'll still need to go through everything and delete them.

Comment 2: I looked to see how to import a list but only found adding one item at a time. Photo shows what I have under anti-spam component.

I just checked for the import. I'm in the anti-spam component, but it only gives me the option to input one entry at a time vs to import a list. See the photo for what I have.

I'm having a problem leaving a comment. They keep getting deleted. Not familiar with this community format, I'm afraid.

1. It seems that it will only mark those domains in the list as spam in outlook, which doesn't help. I'll then have to go through them to ensure they aren't something new that's marked incorrectly from the spam filter.

2. Looked at the anti-spam component and didn't see a way to import a list - only to add one at a time.

So AVG isn't actually blocking them. Just marking them as spam. That's not helpful. I still have to go in and delete them, though the infinite entries is awesome. Thank you for answering though.

We understand your concern.

Let me clarify, (1) Yes, the AVG will mark the email only as spam.

It is the usual behaviour. It wont delete your email which has been blocked.

(2) Regarding the import list, we have escalated the case to our senior team. We will get back to you once we get a reply from them.

Your patience is appreciated.

We are sorry for the delay in response, Patricia.
Unfortunately, there isn't an option to import in Anti-Spam. However, we will consider this as feedback for our future updates.
