Why have you disabled multi-device protection?

I'm beginning to suspect that, AVG is now scamming me because they have disabled my multi-device protection. I'm signed in on my phone's AVG and it asks me to pay for Pro, when I've already paid for the internet security package to protect all of my devices with. They made this change like half a year ago or so suddenly without warning and now my phone remains unprotected and full of crappy AVG ads that prevent me from closing AVG as it pops up a warning proclaiming "You're not protected unless you pay us money".

If you downgraded AVG and removed multi-device protection without authorization or warning, you owe me a refund. I finally looked into it more closely today, because I no longer suspect its some glitch due to updated software or whatever.

I have AVG Ultimate, 2 year plan, Unlimited devices. You've deleted AVG Zen, so I can no longer monitor the other devices I was protecting. The two devices I have immediate and daily access to I can check, and my laptop is protected, but my phone is not. Even though my phone's AVG is logged in on the account and USED to be fully protected by AVG Ultimate. Now its just an ad-infested craphole of AVG crap that I don't want or need begging me for money.

I haven't checked the desktop in the house to see if its AVG is still working, because I haven't been able to get that machine online for a while. With the deletion of AVG Zen, I can no longer monitor the other devices statuses remotely. I'm very disappointed in you right now, and I want answers.

I've been loyal to AVG for over a decade. I used AVG when it was nothing more than a quick scanning tool that had no subscriptions and no service, just a portable scanner. Every few years you increased the price and added more crap to it, some of it unwanted. Some of it even spamming me with "buy this added protection now even though you already pay for Ultimate!" till I complained about it and put a stop to it. You're putting your service in a very unfriendly light at this point. Its no longer about protecting your users, its about getting as much money as you can.

Hi Bradley,

This isn't the experience we want you to have.
Please try activating AVG AntiVirus in your mobile using activation code and check with the program.
We have sent an email an email with your activation code and steps to activate AVG AntiVirus. Please check your inbox/spam for the email.

Why was AVG Zen canceled? It was a great way to monitor all my devices at once and activate AVG on all of them. Now you're telling me I have to sit there and type in a code on each device manually? Worse yet, it makes no sense that I can sign into AVG on these devices, bu I still have to type in a code to activate AVG? Why isn't signing in enough to simply activate my protection?

AVG Zen feature has been discontinued in the latest version of AVG program.

Yes, you can also activate the subscription by entering AVG MyAccount credentials.

You can activate the subscription by two ways, either by logging in with AVG MyAccount credentials or copy paste the activation code.

If you're activating the subscription on other device or platform, you can use copy and paste the activation code.

I was logged in on my phone. It didn't activate withoutme having to us emy phone to type in some activation code, while its logged in. So no, simply logging in doesn't activate my features.

In fact, its asking me to pay for "Ultimate" in order to activate the VPN features, yet I already own Ultimate. AVG is so full of things these days that require you to pay its ridiculous. I'm seriously getting annoyed with the product, as it keeps adding more bulk to its self and raising the cost of protection.

Vas, we understand your concern

Upon checking your account, we could see that you have an AVG Ultimate which can be installed and activated in Windows, Android and Mac.

However, AVG Ultimate is a combination of AVG Internet Security and AVG TuneUp Unlimited. You have to purchase the AVG Secure VPN multi device in order to install it in your Android and Windows.

Thank you for understanding.

How nice. AVG "Ultimate" isn't really Ultimate, its barely "pro" while you sell other products that you won't combine with the "Ultimate" pack. Sounds logical. Uber expensive price for antivirus and a few tools I hardly use in the TuneUp package because the rest simply damage a working system with their automation, slowing the system down. That big price to barely install the antivirus on 2 devices, maybe 3.

Yep, I'm certainly reconcidering my stay with AVG. I was loyal to AVG for so long and you guys became like all the other corporations out there. In it for the money only, not to help people. With the price as high as it is, its too difficult to keep my machine protected anymore due to the fact that disability pays barely half minimum wage and the fact is, AVG just keeps going up in price every time I turn around. I think this may be the last time I pay for AVG ever again.

You either need to pack in more with your Ultimate package, such as this VPN, or lower the cost. As it stands, your Ultimate package is the same price as putting the other two togeher. Isn't a deal supposed to be cheaper than buying the individual components so that people are more likely to buy the larger package?

Honestly, I don't even like the tuneup for my phone, its so limited, and doesn't let me select what things it shouldn't do. It just automatically does what you click on without letting you say "No, don't stop this program, I want it to stay in memory." PC cleanup at least gives me options however I hardly use it because it may one day automatically decide to delete things I need.

Vas, we understand you frustration.

We will certainly take your feedback for consideration.

AVG TuneUp will give you a prompt before deleting or scanning the files. It wont delete any file unless you give a permission. In order to optimize your computer and make it efficient we have to remove certain files. However, it won't slow down your computer.

Yes, there is price increase in the AVG products. We have made significant improvements to our detection rates over the last year and we expect to continue this investment as the threat landscape is getting more complex and thus had to increase the price. If you wish to renew the product again, you can contact our sales team. They will help you to purchase the product at a better price.

Regarding the AVG Ultimate, we do have a package which contains AVG Internet Security, AVG TuneUp unlimited, AVG Secure VPN and AVG Password Protection. The Price of the product may vary according to the package. However, you have subscribed for the package which contains AVG Internet Security and AVG TuneUp Unlimited alone.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the AVG TuneUp for your mobile. If you wish, we can forward your concern to our Mobile team. They will help you to sort out the issue.

Thank you for understanding.
