Sorry to know that, Mauricio. The threat detection that you received is a false detection and it will appear only when you access websites from Chrome browser. In order to fix this, we request you to reset Chrome browser as mentioned in this https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214 article. Once done with that, restart your computer and check the status.
It would be better, if you take a screenshot of the threat detection popup and attach it on your next post. You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions. Are you using AVG Antivirus free or paid version of AVG Internet Security? Do you get the threat detection popup whenever you access sites on your browser? If yes, could you check whether it appears on a particular browser or on all of them?
I am using the free version of AVG Antivirus I receive the threat detection pop-up whenever I access sites on my Google Chrome browser, on microsoft edge it doesn't appear. I have already uninstalled both google chrome and AVG and reinstalled and the pop-up continues to appear
Thank you for providing us the info, Mauricio. Would you be so kind to click on 'See details' option that is available in the notification & then share us the screenshot to know more about the detection? In the meantime, please ensure that the virus definitions are up to date. To do so : Open AVG Free Antivirus - Click the refresh icon (at bottom right corner in the homepage of AVG Free program) - Restart the computer once & let us know if you still receive the threat notification.
