Original question:
I've installed AVG internet Security and Google Chrome is now blocked. Google is accessible if I turn AVG off.
Chrome is listed in components as one of the allowed websites along with MS Outlook etc (which I can access). I've attempted to change settings through Menu>Settings>Components> Enhanced Firewall by customizing and instead of "Auto Decide" selecting "Allow" in Enhanced Firewall Policies> Default Rules. This allows me to use Google Chrome but some pages areas booking.com)  not accessible and the response I get is gc.synxis.com didn't send any data or this site cant provide a secure connection (even for generally accessible websites such as booking.com).
Q1: Am I correct in customizing and selecting ALLOW ?
Q2:  What is the cause of the gc-synxis error and how to resolve it?
Q3: how to resolve the invalid responses?
Thanks

Hello Jeremy,

We will work together to sort this issue.

Let us disable each component of AVG and check disabling which component fix the issue.

Open AVG Internet Security, click on "Menu->Settings->Components". From here disable one component at a time and check.

Yes, you can set the firewall setting to "Allow" from "Auto-Decide".
