What's happened to Tune Up on Windows 10?

I've been a user of AVG Tune UP for 7 years, using it on Windows XP and 7.  I have recently "upgraded" to Windows 10 and the product appears to have radically reduced functionality.  Where has the defrag utility gone?  Where has the registry fix and defrag gone?  Where has the login screen editor gone?  I am not happy.  The shock of moving to the disorganised chaotic mess of Windows 10 was bad enough but also my favourite utility has lost much of its functionality

Is the functionality there somewhere that I can't find?

Hello Stephen,

We'd be glad to clarify this for you.
We have recently launched a new version of AVG PC TuneUp in which some of the features has been discontinued. This is purely based on the feedback provided by various customers.
If you need any clarifications, do let us know.

Thank you.  On my old Windows 7 computer, I still have a version of PC Tune Up that has all the old features.  Is there any way I can archive that so that I do not lose the functionality?   I particularly miss the registry defragmentation function as that made my old Windows 7 machine perform very well during its life and the only reason I have replaced it is because Windows 7 is going out of service.

As a second question, my new PC has Windows and applications installed on a SSD drive and data is stored on a separate conventional drive.  Is it safe to use PC Tune Up on the SSD drive?  I know that it is not safe to use 'disc wipe' utilities as they can dramatically shorten the life of the drive but my understanding is that 'single wipe' utilities such as PC Tune Up should be OK.  Is that correct?

Thanks for any assistance

Sure, Stephen.
You can download old version of AVG PC Tuneup from this link: https://www.avg.com/en-us/installation-files-prd-tuh
Yes, you can install AVG PC Tuneup on SSD but we do not recommend to perform Disk defragmentation on SSD's.
However, if you would like you can perform windows defragmentation.
Right click on selected drive -> Properties -> Tools -> Defragmentation.

Thanks. Is it it safe to let AVG Tune Up to fix registry errors, clear internet history and clear system junk from a SSD drive?
