Here is one, a temp file in the AVG file.
Virus name, what is this? Why can't I click to find out more about this virus to see if it's real or not.
OLE:ScriptBridge-inf [Trj]
Here is the file
C:\Users\Larry\AppData\Local\Temp\_avg_\unp197163290.tmp\4.doc
I've had a about a dozen other files in the last couple days, pop up as virus. Some were just word docs or PDF's, mostly old ones I think.
I understand the inconvenience caused, let's work together to fix this issue.
Please share a screenshot of the AVG detection with "see details" window to assist you further. You can post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Best regards,
Alok.
I can copy virus name or path, but not the screen. In my original message I pasted the virus name and path.
Where is this "see details"? on the AVG popup? My only options there seem to be "My Avg" and "Menu", but neither have a copy options.
Do you still get the threat detection popups from AVG?
Can we just troubleshoot without the image?
The top bar of the window says: "AVG Internet Security" on the left side, on the right, "My AVG" & "Menu" with dropdown menues -neither list "See Details" or have a copy option. Right clicking in the window does nothing.
Top line is the name of my scan, "Sch Scan 031218 finished!".
Then "1 unsecured threat found"
Then the line with the virus name & link as I've copied above. -at the end of the line is "Resolve"
At the bottom is a bubble with "DONE"
OLE:ScriptBridge-inf [Trj]
C:\Users\Larry\AppData\Local\Temp\_avg_\unp197163290.tmp\4.doc
Like I said, only My AVG and Menu. Neither give an option to print or copy the window.
OLE:ScriptBridge-inf [Trj]
C:\Users\Larry\AppData\Local\Temp\_avg_\unp197163290.tmp\4.doc
This is what I have, no other relevent data in that window. Can we just work with this?
We are getting all of your replies here.
"See Details" option will be available only on the threat window and not on the AVG program interface.
It looks like you have received the threat displayed after a schedule scan performed by AVG.
Can you check whether the same threat appears for the next AVG schedule scan?
This page doesn't auto refresh and I'm busy with other things. Sorry about the delay.
Scan says no threats now.
I didn't click to resolve that previous virus, I just closed the window with the X in the top right corner.
If you haven't clicked on "Resolve", then it means that you aren't taking any action on the detected threat.
Hence, it is possible for you to get the same threat detected for the next scan.
Regarding, last scan message on the interface, it will update only for the manual scan performed by clicking on "Scan Computer" option on the program interface.
It will not update for other scans like Scheduled scan.
