I have tried to launch Yahoo Messenger's Windows 10 App. Yahoo claims that it cannot access the internet, and I think it has something to do with AVG's firewall, even though, Yahoo (but not specifically Yahoo Messenger) is an allowed App on the Application Rules. What can I do?
If AVG Firewall is blocking some of the communication then follow below mentioned steps to check whether it fixes the issue:
1) Open AVG Internet Security dashboard, click on "Menu-->Settings-->Components-->Firewall-->Customize" 2) To the right of "Policies" scroll down to click on "System Rules" 3) Enable the option for "Windows file sharing and printing", "allow remote desktop connection" and the last entry "Enable stealth mode" 4) Below policies, click on "Network Profiles", to the right> click on the network connection and change the profile to "Private" if it is set to "Public".
If you still face any difficulties, disable AVG program temporarily (Right click on AVG in the system tray and turn off the protection) and check the status.
