AVG Secure VPN

I have been using   AVG Secure VPN for 2/3 weeks and when I have previously opened the screen there has always been a Green oval button that said something like "browse internet" which has then open an AVG internet page.  At some point this evening this button has disappeared!
I have rebooted my pc which hasn't made any difference and I cant find any help in the FAQ's or in the Community.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards
Donna

Thank you for providing the screenshot.
I see that you have successfully activated AVG Secure VPN.
Have you clicked on "Browse the web" text which is underlined in the VPN window and checked whether it opens the browser?
Donna PaineDonna Paine
Yes I have clicked that link but it just opens up the normal google internet browser. Previously it opened up an AVG secure internet page which shows no browsing history

Yesterday early evening The AVG Secure VPN screen has a green button to borwse the internet and correctly accessed the internet via an AVG secure tab. Later in the evening this button had gone?

Donna,

There has been some changes made in the user interface since the recent update and the "Open browser" button is no longer available. Instead, 'browser the web' has been introduced. Irrespective of starting your browsing session using these options, you are protected when Secure VPN is turned on.

Hi
I'm afraid I disagree. I can see that the interface may have changed but previously when I clicked the green button it took me to an AVG secure tab which showed no browsing history which is what i want. Now with your new interface it just takes me to Google and shows all my history and what sites I have been using. It now appears I am paying for a service but not getting it. I am happy to no longer have the green button on the AVG secure VPN page but feel I should be taken to an AVG SEcure VPN tab on the web browser NOT just Google which is what I had before subscribing to SEcure VPN. I have no way of knowing that my online activities are being protected and feel there may be a bug you are not aware of. If you could get back to me URGENTLY that would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards

Donna,

AVG Secure VPN is an application which enables you to connect to the internet via secure VPN servers using an encrypted tunnel to protect your online activity from eavesdropping. When you turn the VPN application ON, all your internet traffic is routed via our secure servers thus providing you with a private browsing session.

I would like to inform that there is no issue or bug in the current version of AVG Secure VPN.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I understand what you are saying, but why am i not being directed to the AVG secure VPN internet browsing tab as I was a couple of days ago?

Is this the change you have made?

Yes, Donna.

It's a recent update which redirects you to the default search engine named Google when AVG Secure VPn is Turned On.  We are here if you need further help.

Hi
The new update is directing me to Google.cz which I am concerned about. Why doesnt it take me to google.co,uk.  I am concerned about this situation and I am not confident my internet usage is secure.
Thank you

Donna, please check to which location your AVG Secure VPN is set.

If it is selected on UK, then please send me the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of your AVG Secure VPN window and the browser page which opens Google.cz.

We will check the same and assist you further.

google cz screen

Hello

this screen showing google.cz has just appeared when i accessed the internet via AVG Secure VPN

Thanks

Donna,

In the older version of AVG Secure VPN, it will open a private browsing session (incognito) when you click on 'Open browser'. In the latest version, a normal browsing session is opened. Either ways, your traffic is routed via AVG Secure VPN servers using an encrypted tunnel to protect your online activity from eavesdropping.

Hi
I am happy with the above explanation about being directed to a normal browsing session, in this instance Google. BUT it doesnt explain why it is taking me to google.CZ when my location is set as London. Can you please answer this specific question as I dont feel I am getting the security I paid for and my query was first logged on 23rd February. If you are unable to help please escalate my query to a manager.
Many thanks
