Failing to download AVG Free

Had to uninstall AVG due to it failing to update. Uninstalled using cleaner and removal tool, following instructions and now I am unable to reinstall AVG Free. During the setup it comes up with this error message:

Note: Please run the AVG Clear first and then the AVG Remover

I followed your instructions and tried to download AVG Free Antivirus again and came up with the same error message. I used AVG clear to remove AVG Internet Security and the remover tool and still met with the same problem.

Hi AVG Support, I'm getting the same problem, it all started when the AVG Free couldn't update and same issue as above, try to fix, uninstall & re-installing fails with same error

Hi Bhuvaneswari, yes I've used the AVG Clear tool & remover. Both ran successfully but still can't install
My machine is a Windows 10 if that's help to identify the issue

FM, did you try to change the DNS settings on your PC to Google DNS and tried to update as requested on your other post? Please try to keep the whole conversation in one thread to speed up resolution. If you have not tried it yet, please follow the steps.

Open the Start menu, and then click Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.
Double-click your main network adapter. This can be Local Area Connection, Wireless Network Connection, Ethernet, or similar.
Click Properties, select Internet Protocol Version (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.
Select Use the following DNS server addresses, and then specify the Preferred and Alternate DNS server as follows:
Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
Click OK to save the changes, and close all opened windows.

Now try to update AVG and check if that resolves the issue.
