Hello Michael,

I understand the inconvenience.
The issue is not due to AVG Safeprice extension.
To know more about AVG Safeprice extension, have a look at this (FAQ).
Since Google Chrome browser crashed, AVG extension installed on it says that it can't perform as the browser crashed.
To resolve this, please reinstall your Chrome browser.

Thanks for your reply BUT Google Chrome is working on our other PC's No Problem and has not crashed. I checked Google Chrome Forum and they had similar problems with a notice on screen saying SAFEPRICE extension has crashed click on the balloon to reinstall. When you click on it ..it disappears and the Google Chrome screen stay black and the Task Bar keeps showing Untitled with a icon black face looking sad. In the 3 dots with settings nothing works.I have uninstalled the SAFEPRICE extension on the AVG settings as this was advised by AVG. I have now set Internet Explorer back as my default browser which does not work for my online education. I have done a restart and re-installed Google Chrome and still chrome does not work and the AVG Safeprice still comes up as crashed click on balloon to reinstall.. Problems how to solve pls.

This isn't the experience we want you to have, Michael.

Please restore the changes made by AVG PC TuneUp program and also check if the Safe price is activated on AVG Internet Security (AVG> Menu > Settings > components > safe price). If yes, please uninstall it.

Restart your computer once and check if the Chrome is working fine.

I followed your instructions and reinstalled Chrome and did a Restart of PC..nothing changed No Home Page Screen Black and your AVG Safeprice extension still popping up bottom right hand screen saying it has crashed and click here to reinstall but DOES NOT WORK. In your AVG forum you advised someelse who had the same problem to Reboot in Safe Mode then do a restart of PC and go to settings to manage the AVG Safe Price under settings and it should work.. Let me know if this still works and I will try tomorrow. Thks Michael..25th Feb 2018

Hi There, I just checked your answer and Google Chrome is working fine on our other PCs and has not crashed. On this laptop the AVG SAFEPRICE extension pop up on lower right hand side of the home page has been popping up saying it has crashed and to click on balloon then disappeared this kept happening for a week until the complete Google Chrome browser went black screen or white screen today 25th Feb 2018 with still this AVG pop on screen and does not operate when you do click on the balloon to reinstall.
Google Chrome
AVG instructions:
Open Google Chrome and click the SafePrice icon to the right of the address bar. Select Manage extensions from the dropdown list. Here, you can enable, disable, or remove SafePrice. The Safeprice icon no where to be seen as cannot open settings nor extensions..Chrome Dead. Now using IE as default browser until I here from you How to Fix this..
But cannot access my online courses until I get Chrome working again.Thks Michael Chappell

Michael,

I am sorry to hear that the issue persists and I apologize for the inconvenience. Please open C drive on your computer and click on Program files->Google->Chrome->Application->Rename "Chrome.exe" application, check if that fixes the issue. Also, please try to disable the safe price extension from "Incognito mode" (Open your chrome in  "Incognito mode" and go to extensions to remove it).

If you face any difficulties, feel free to contact us.

Neither does Internet Explorer work for my online education. I've tried to perform all the steps to make Chrome work but it doesn't fix an issue. Does anybody have any other solutions or suggestions?
