AVG Protection related issue

When i fired up my computer and downloaded the AVG update this morning, a red message popped up, saying that 'I'm not fully protected! Computer : Some components need update.' (http://www.imagebam.com/image/7db3e6958609624)
Whenever i hit the 'fix now' button, AVG proceeds to download the update but the red message remains...

Any feedback/help would be greatly appreciated !

I will certainly check this for you.

Please click on "Refresh" icon next to "Update now" at the bottom of the AVG Internet Security window.

If the issue persists, please let me know the version of AVG installed on your computer and the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the error message to assist further.

Alejandro, If applicable.. For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

There isn't any 'Refresh' icon next to the 'Update now' button...(Please find the attached file)

Alejandro, thank you for sharing us the screenshot. We could see that you are running the old version of AVG Internet Security program on your PC.

We suggest to use our AVG remover tool by referring to this article to remove the AVG Internet Security and its traces, then reinstall the AVG Internet Security application by following the instructions given in this article and check with the issue

I have followed the repairing procedure to the letter; rebooting my computer but I am still getting the exact same error stating I'm not protected and I need a computer update ?

AVG says I'm up to date, I'm running AVG Internet Security Full version 16.161.8048.

Why is it so troublesome and am I still protected against internet threats and viruses with that 'computer update required' message ?

The latest version of AVG Internet Security is 18.6. You have an older version of AVG installed. Please uninstall this older version from your computer and click on this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to install the latest version.
