Permanently disable AVG Enhanced firewall, default back to Win

I'm having all sorts of application access problems w/AVG firewall, just want to let Windows Defender be my default firewall. I turn off AVG firewall and check that Windows Defender is active, but when I reboot, Windows gives firewall back to AVG. How do I permanently disable AVG Firewall? As Windows startup default?

Hi, Duane.
We're here to help. AVG Firewall provides better protection compared to Windows firewall. Please let us know the exact issue that you are experiencing with AVG firewall and we'll be glad to assist you.

I'm sure it's a better firewall, but I don't want it. I just installed a new PC, Win 10/64. I have 2 media servers: JRiver Media Center Server 24 and Logitech Media Server (for Squeezebox). There are rules and ports specified in the AVG firewall setup, but neither connect to players. When I turn off AVG Firewall and use Win Defender (which also has rules/ports for them), they connect immediately.
I really never wanted anything more than AVG AntiVirus, but you discontinued the paid AV-only product. I hate suites like you've built into AV Internet Security, and really just want to tell Windows not to use AV Firewall. How can I make that change?

Thanks for explaining the situation.
You can turn off the firewall component from Menu > Settings > Components > Firewall. Drag the On/Off slider to turn off the feature. Please note that you may see an alert on AVG user interface about the firewall.

If you would like to troubleshoot the issue, make sure the below settings are configured in AVG firewall and verify the issue.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Network Profile and change it to Private.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Policies->System Rules and set all rules to "Enabled".
