AVG Threat Secured Pop-up

I am contually getting an AVG Threat Secured pop-up everytime I open a new window on my laptop. I used online chat with an AVG assistant and she told me I needed to pay to clean my computer and then pay to get Internet protection.  I had already cleaned my laptop and then downloading a Malwarebytes programme as suggested on the forum but nothing has worked. Has anyone any other suggestions?

Hello Karen,

We have checked the chat history and sorry for the information provided earlier.
It is necessary for us to check the threat detected popups that you have received to proceed further on this matter.
Provide the screenshot of AVG threat detection window here.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Thank you for the screenshot.
It is saying about "MOZ extension" which we assume that it should be some of the extension associated with the browser that you are using.
Please open a different browser and try accessing the websites.
If you didn't get the threat detection, we can confirm that it is appearing only for the particular browser.
If that is the case, mention the name of the browser and provide the screenshot of AVG Antivirus version.
Open AVG Antivirus window, click on "Menu-->About" to know about the version.

Good. We request you to check for extensions in Firefox browser and the remove the weird/unwanted add-ons or extensions from it.
We also recommend to clear the cookies from the browser.
Check the status after restarting the PC.
