AVG is blocking internet access

Yesterday I updated AVG, ever since I cannot access internet without turning AVG off.
It is software version 18.7.3069

Hello Andy,

This isn't the expected behavior.
Let us work together and fix this.
To be sure, aren't you able to access any of the websites or the internet is not connected to your PC at all?

I cannot connect at all to the internet when AVG is activated. I cannot use either Chrome or Microsoft Edge. I can't check or send email with Outlook.
My internet provider reset my modem multiple times and ruled it out as the source as other computers and my phones are connected.

Andy, we will work together to sort this out.

Open AVG Internet Security installed on your computer, click on Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->click on "Network Profile(Left side of the interface) and change the profile to "Private" if selected in "Public". Once this is done, select "Policies->System Rules", enable all the settings that are not configured.

If you face any difficulties, please let us know and we will assist you further.

I did all this, and it still isn't working. After doing it, AVG froze up and became unresponsive. I restarted my computer and checked AVG to make sure all changes had been made, which they had, But shortly after starting up Chrome I became disconnected from my internet.

I did all this. When I hit "OK" after enabling all the system rules, AVG froze up and became unresponsive. I restarted my computer, went back through a second time and confirmed everything had been done.

Sadly it did not fix the problem. Within a minute after firing up my computer, I got disconnected from my internet connection.

Thank you for the information Andy,
The issue might be because of AVG old/previous traces. In this case, I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG Internet Security.
Please follow the instruction ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product ) to run AVG Remover tool and AVG Clear tool.
After the computer reboots, you can follow the instruction to download/install/activate AVG Internet Security. Use login option to activate it.
Regards,
Alok.
