Transferring AVG Internet Security to a new computer

I have recently bought a new computer. How do I transfer my Internet security over to the new computer?

Hello John,

AVG Internet security can used only for one computer.

You have to download the product from the AVG website and install the product in your computer.

After installing the product, activate it using the license key.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately it does not solve my problem.My previous computer is no longer in use and is sitting in a cupboard.It is this new one I want to protect.
I installed the free AVG trial on this one as a temporary fix until the old one was taken out of service.
 As my subscription runs through until May, I wanted to transfer it to this one. Can I do this ?
Trying the way you suggested in your reply only gets me to the trial version and will not let me input my licence number.
Do I have to repurchase the full version ?

John, you have to uninstall the product from your older computer and install it in the new one.

You have to activate the product after installing it.

I will send you the license key through email due to privacy concern.
