I have avg internet security and cannot see where to turn off the firewall, or better still to edit the firewall. Can anybody tell me where it is? Thanks,
Hello John, We will help you with it. Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> Settings -> Components -> Enhanced Firewall -> click on toggle bar to turn off Firewall. Do you face any conflict issues with Firewall?
Hi Ranjani Thank you for your answer. However, I did find it earlier. I have a problem: I run tightvnc. I can use it WITHOUT firewall activated, bot NOT with firewall activated. Can you advise on this problem? Regards,
Let's have a look into this together. Please check if the AVG Internet Security Firewall configuration is made as per the recommendations. - Open AVG Internet Security icon - Click Menu - Click Settings - Click Components - Scroll down to Firewall - Click Customize. - Enable the "Internet connection sharing mode" and "Allow all connections with Friends when in Private mode" - Click on System Rules - Enable the "Allow File and Printer sharing" and "Allow remote desktop connections to this computer" - Click OK to confirm it. Please make sure that all the tasks are enabled. - Click on "Network profiles" - Change all the Networks to "Private" - Click OK to confirm it. Let us know the status here to assist further.
Hi Priyanga Sekar, Thank you for your response. It now works fine. I have another problem, on another computer, which I mentioned a few days ago:
Original question: I am running windows 10 and I have Internet security dashboard shows computer update required. I am running avg version number: 16.161.8048. I have tried to update several times and it still shows Internet security dashboard shows computer update required. I have uninstalled avg with the avg uninstall tool and reinstalled. After restart I still get Internet security dashboard shows computer update required. I don't know what to do now. Can you help? Regards,

Regarding the update issue, you have the older version of AVG installed.
The latest version is 19.1, please remove the older version from your computer control panel and click on this link https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to install the latest version.
If you face any difficulties, please share the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the error message to assist further.
Thank you for your help.
Everything now works fine.
Regards,
John C
I appreciate your time and co-operation.
