Enhanced Firewall is turned off --- and won't switch on
Hi - I just manually updated AVG Internet protection by clicking on the 'check for updates' virus definition button and also the 'check for updates' application button. Both downloaded updates dates April 1st. BUT now AVG says the Enhanced Firewall is turned off. I've clicked 'Turn On'....but then get an AVG message saying 'Enhanced Firewall not available.'
I've re-booted. Same problem.
Any advice?
AVG support is operating a reduced serviced at the moment, like most of us.

OK. Have reinstalled. Looks to be OK. But there is no mention now of a firewall on the AVG screen. Is there a way I can check it's now working? Pic below:-

OK. I've reset Chrome. I've not closed (or acted upon) the above pop up yet. Shall I just close it now...and see what happens? Or what should I do next?
Thanks for recently posting this query Derek and AVG staff for the helpful replies. I've just experienced the exact same problem with my AVG Firewall, after an update, then found your post. In case anyone else looking for same information .... Just want to add here - in my case, the "repair" procedure which didn't work for Derek, did work for me after re-boot (Windows 10)
