Three AVGUI.exe

Hi, since the last update i noticed that there's more than one AVG task running and i'm wondering if that's ok?.Here's how it shows up.

AVG in task manager

I've also tried to uninstall the program using the remover tool but it hasn't worked thus far. I can't do a manual uninstallation also, the process gets stuck at "Calling named action: AcsCleanupSnx". I just want to know if this is ok or should i try to uninstall then reinstall the program?

Thanks.

Hello Jack,

We apologize for the inconvenience. We'll help you sort this.
We suggest you to repair your AVG Antivirus Free to fix the issue.
Refer to this article to repair your AVG AntiVirus Free.
After the repair, restart your computer. Wait for a few minutes after the restart and check if the issue still persists.
If the issue still persists, we request you to uninstall your AVG Antivirus Free using our Clear tool.
Keep us posted.

Thanks for the answer.

I did the repair and there's no longer 3 AVGUI.exe, there are two now. Is that right or should I uninstall?

This could be caused because there might be traces of old AVG programs left on your computer.
We recommend that you uninstall the AVG Antivirus Free using our Clear tool and reinstall it to check.
Thanks in advance.

I could uninstall the program using the tool, i had to run it twice because the first time didn't delete the program completely. Restarted the PC, was absolutely sure there were no AVG archives leftover, re-installed AVG and it showed again 2 AVGUI.exe in the task manager. I guess it's normal?. 3 wasn't for sure so i'm glad i managed to fix that.

I have 4 AVGUI.exe processes running. I know the default solution is always to "uninstall/reinstall", but this was a fresh install of AVG. Previously AVG had been removed via the AVG Clear tool. I had reported to you via the bug report feature that AVG was causing Google Chrome to briefly freeze on a frequent basis, so in AVG's "troubleshooting" settings, I disabled "Enable hardware-assisted virtualization" and restarted my PC, which seemed to help. However, it still seems to freeze occasionally. I don't know if that's related to the 4 AVGUI.exe processes or not. The AVG developers need to look into these issues. Please pass this information along to them. Thank you!
