Ka Wi AVGfree AV protection suddenly "expired". Why ? How to re-animate ?!
Since April I got surprising "offers" to upgrade my AVGfree AV after updating regularly the installed AVGfree AV as usual.
I have used AVGfree AV on my private PCs for many years satisfied, happily, without any problems and no need for more.
About a week ago suddenly I got notified "your free AVG has expired please choose protection for upcoming year" but no option to continue free AVG. Even de- and new install of latest AVG free AV doesn't help.
I don't need more options than AVGfree offers.
Nowhere for AVGfree any time restriction is or was mentioned or happened to me or frineds I recommend it.
Please advise how to continue my AVGfree !

If you are not able to use the AVG Free installed in your PC.
I request you to uninstall and reinstall the AVG Free to continue using it without any issues.
Sorry. It doesnt work at all !
3 times I tried de-install by control panel programs and features.
- two times re-install by online option AVG antivirus free
- one time by offline option.
result all the same.
The program seems to work but broadly shows on top of the main menu besides AVG Antivirus free a label "upgrade"
Below always the lines "Your AVG Antivirus free has expired. please choose an option for the upcoming year."
I still use win 7prof, 64bit.
It will be the last and final version I decided to bother with from Microsoft.
Now I got the additional problem to get into my providers mailserver.
I*m definitely getting tired of that waste of time.
Being increasingly bothered with advertising pop-up upgrade and nonsense "warning" intrusions and now even that obstruction.
For many years it worked and I could concentrate an my work without any trouble - not being obstructed.
Please advise how to REALLY and definitely solve that annoyance.
And also share us the screenshot of the pop ups you are receiving.
But looking at the screenshots we will be in a better position to assist you.
Two additional infos.
1. the Email problem is solved. i needed to import and activate teh new security certificates from AVG in my EMail program.
2. Meanwhile I checked my back-up PC where I have AVG AV free installed too.
I rarely update AVG on that PC - only when safeguarding my notebook.
Presently, there are on both PC absolutely the same program- and virus definition version installed.
- On the backup PC none of these unusual messages appears.
- Those messages just appear on the notebook after I got those new annoying pop-up upgrade messages from AVG (--try AVG internet security free of charge for 2 months .. or similar - what I didn't do).
The PC of my wife with AVG AV free - rarely on the internet - is on the same AVG AV free versions without any complaining/disturbing messages.
The only thing changed after the new install with the offline installation version is that the AVG icon in doesn't show a yellow warning sign anymore now.the baseline tray

Regarding the issue, could you uninstall and install AVG free again?
