Hi, I have the paid version of AVG Internet Security. In the last week, using Chrome, I am constantly being notified of the neutralization of the "HTML: Script.inf [Susp]" threat associated with the address www.imaprecompressi.it. The problem occurs to me only with Chrome and not also, for example, with Edge. I have performed several scans, including in-depth ones and at the start of the operating system, but no viruses are found. How can I solve the problem? Thanks in advance for the reply. Best Regards, Gabriele
We will help you in this. Since the AVG has not detected any threats in your PC, you need not to worry. Could you share us the screenshot of the error message you get in the Chrome for better understanding? Does it occur when you visit a particular website or for every website? Refer this article for the steps to take a screenshot : https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thank you for the screenshot, Gabriele AVG has detected this URL has a threat and that is the reason for this pop up. I request you to reset your Chrome browser to resolve this. You can refer this article for the steps : https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Reset-browser
Hi, I ran the instructions on the page you posted, I restarted the pc but the problem still occurs. I also used the Chrome tool which allows you to detect malicious software. It did not find anything dangerous.
Appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue, Gabriele. Please ensure that the AVG program has the latest patches applied to it. To do so : Click on refresh icon beside virus definitions in the homepage of AVG program (at bottom right corner) - Restart the computer after successful update once & check if it helps.
Hi, I ran the instructions on the page you posted, I restarted the pc but the problem still occurs. I also used the Chrome tool which allows you to detect malicious software. It did not find anything dangerous. What can i do now?
I recently began having the same problem. I get the same "HTML: Script.inf [Susp]" message with automatic scans done by AVG of emails coming to me with pdf files from site: https://www.academia.edu/ I have been receiving such emails daily for months with no problem but for a few days now each email gets the same virus "virus detected message". I'm hoping for the solution.
We're sorry for the inconvenience caused. Do you think that this is a false-positive made by AVG & that the detected file is safe to access? Also, how often do you receive these threat pop-ups? Keep us updated.

I am getting exactly the same problem - false positive with an HTML:script-inf[Susp] message on all four browsers that I use. I have reported this to AVG with the website URL of the page that I am trying to reach. The page opens fine on my mobile, and nobody else has reported any problems with the website concerned. Please whitelist the page asap!
