Please check & remove if there are any other antivirus installed on your computer.
If there is no other antivirus found, try repairing AVG program once & let us know the outcome.

So it seems Gordon and I have been amalgamated. I did not, get as far as I remember, an email from Alok, My question though was answered by AVG Customer Service lady just now.
All very confusing, but hey ho. Being a Geri things like this happen at my age.
