Sept. 1 update

After the Sept. 1st update and restart, when I hover over the AVG logo it tells me ( in pink ) that I'm unprotected, but when I click on AVG it says I have basic protection ( in pink ). It used to say I was protected ( in green ) when I hovered over the logo & when I clicked on it said I had basic protection ( in green ). Which is it ? Am I protected or not, and why the color change?

I am having similar problem. AVG with an identity crisis. Popup tray icon says I'm unprotected but AVG main window says I am but in red. So am I protected or not?

Hi Pat.
Could you click Menu -> My Subscription and share a screenshot of that window?

I have the same screenshot as Wanda, I also have a differrent one but I'm not a computer wizard getting paid to fix your update problems and I don't know how to send it to you. I've spent too much time on this already. I sent the original post before Wanda

Wandas screenshot pretty much captures it, lower right corner says unprotected but the top says I have basic protection. Back to my original question please.(Sept. 1st update)

Hi Tom,

Please let us know what happens exactly while reinstalling AVG.
If you receive any error message, share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.
tom mcguiretom mcguire
Apparently Microsoft blocked the install, but I got around it and reinstalled. Appears to be OK except now some websites won't allow me access because of an invalid authentication code. What's that?
Dinesh KrishnanDinesh Krishnan (Foundever)
We're sorry to know that, Tom.
As we're uncertain about the exact message that you receive, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it?
Also, clarify whether this happens irrespective of browsers or in a specific browser.
