How do i stop random AVG pop ups

Hello, i have the free AVG antivirus and was looking to go premium on windows 10 but i keep getting AVG pop up in front of my windows atleast once per day. It looks to be advertising and warning me password protection is not active and that i am not premium etc.

I have already turned off notifications and activated silent mode.

If there is no option to stop them i will uninstall and use another option.

thanks.

Hi Martyn,

This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
As we're uncertain about the exact pop ups that you receive, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it?
Also, clarify whether you use AVG Free Antivirus on your computer.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot.
We would like to clarify that this isn't a popup from AVG.
It is a message that is appearing on AVG Antivirus free user interface.
In general, a popup is a window that appears separately other than the user interface of a program.
Since password protection feature is turned off on AVG Antivirus free, this message is appearing on user interface.
Whenever a component is disabled, AVG will show that it has been disabled which is how the program is designed.
If you would like to submit a feedback regarding it, please click on "Menu->About->Submit Feedback" from AVG Antivirus free program to get it done.
Thank you.

John, as mentioned before when a component is disabled, AVG will show that it has been disabled which is how the program is designed.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to disable it.

You can submit a feedback to our developers "Menu->About->Submit Feedback" from the AVG Antivirus free program to get it done.

Thank you.
