Secure VPN problems

I cannot connect directly to internet or email and keep getting the same messages - Secure VPN adapter is disabled; Secure VPN doesn't have a valid IP configuration; the Intel (R) 82579LM gigabit network configuration is experiencing driver or hardware related problems.  If I use network reset I can get the connection but next time I want to log on I get the same messages.  I do not have any VPN app so how can I solve this extremely annoying problem.

As previously said I do NOT have an AVG Secure VPN app or anything similar therefore there is nothing I can uninstall or reinstall.  I have quoted the messages I receive therefore a screenshot is not necessary.  These give you enough information to recognise the problem and advise how it can be resolved.  This is now urgent.

May I know the device in which you're facing the issue?
Please let us know the operating system of your PC.
We understand that you've not installed and using the AVG Secure VPN  on your device, are you still getting the same error message now?
If possible, could you please share the screenshot of the error message?
