Also, please let us know your email client.

Thank you for sharing us the screenshots, Ian. 
AVG Email Shield uses an advanced scanning method for incoming and outgoing emails over SSL/TLS secured connections. MS Outlook have their own certificate stores and may require extra configuration to avoid warnings about invalid server certificates.
You can try following the steps in this article to export/import email certificate using AVG Internet Security & let us know if it helps.
