Enabling Windows Defender

I have and use AVG.  But for secure access to my company, their system must see that Windows Defender is enabled.  How do I termporarily "turn off" AVG and switch to Windows Defender short of uninstalling it?  Thx

Hello Tim,
We're glad to help you.
To temporarily disable the entire AVG AntiVirus protection on your windows computer, please enable the passive mode, as mentioned in the below article.
Using Passive Mode in AVG AntiVirus
Once the passive mode is enabled, windows defender will be automatically turned on.
Note: Passive Mode disables all active protection, such as Core Shields and Enhanced Firewall, so you can use more than one antivirus program at a time without interfering with the performance of your PC or the reliability of antivirus detections. In Passive Mode, AVG still receives all virus definitions and program updates that allow you to manually scan for issues on your PC, but AVG can not actively protect you.
If you have any more questions, feel free to reply here at any time. We’d be happy to help.
Thank you.
