Search Engine

I'm very much enjoy using AVG Browser but I've got one BIG problem, and that is why I am writing to you.

I only use DuckDuckGo as a search engine, and I'm not interested in using others. Can it really be true that you cannot choose DuckDuckGo as a search engine when using AVG Browser??? And if you can, how do I do it? When I go to settings and select search engine, I can only select Google (NEVER), Bing, Yahoo and "Startpage Private Search".

I'm sorry to say it, but if I can't use DuckDuckGo in the AVG Browser, then I'll consider changing browsers (too bad, because I'm really happy with the AVG Browser), but the search engine is more important to me than the browser.

Eagerly awaiting your response.

Sincerely, Trine Heide

Hello Trine.
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
You can set specified serach engine for AVG Secure Browser. You can set it for address bar when you browse.

To define which search engine is used in your address bar:

Open AVG Secure Browser and go to ⋮ Menu (three dots) ▸ Settings.
Scroll to the Search engine section, and use the drop-down menu to select your preferred search engine. (Google (or) Yahoo (or) Bing.) (or) You can add the url of the search engine.

If you have any clarification, please do let us know.

This doesn't work.  It doesn't allow you to edit the url of the search engine.  You can change the name, but not the URL.

Believe me I've tried MANY times to do so.
